Moonlight walk for children’s charity
General Events
Acorns Children’s Hospice is appealing for local ladies to be part of something special on Saturday September 17, when the Acorns Midnight Walk returns to Birmingham.
Starting and finishing in Victoria Square, this 10km female-only walking event will take in the Bullring, the Jewellery Quarter, St Philip’s Cathedral and Brindleyplace by moonlight as the participants raise much-needed funds to support local life limited and life threatened children and their families.
The event is a stark reminder that a good night’s sleep is hard to achieve when caring for a life-limited child. In giving up just one night, you can make a real difference to local families who depend on the support of Acorns.
So, don’t sleep through it – go it alone or get together with female friends, colleagues and family to join in a magical night. Gentlemen, you can be part of it too! Acorns needs more than 100 men to volunteer on the evening of the walk to help marshal the route, so make contact if you can help!
