Art & Literature

Artists across the county will open their doors to visitors this August bank holiday weekend as part of Worcestershire Open Studios. 

From Saturday August 26 to Monday August 28, you’ll be able to visit studios, homes and shared spaces at 70 different locations across Worcestershire. 

Joanne Winson, an artist based in Alvechurch, will show her digital artwork and illustrations at 18 Bear Hill, Alvechurch, B48 7JX from 10.30am till 4pm on all three days.

In Astwood Bank, Vic and April Kirk will be displaying handcrafted jewellery and unique handcrafted lampwork glass beads – visit 1160 Evesham Road, Astwood Bank B96 6DT, from 9.30am to 5.30pm on all three days.

A wide range of work by more than 200 Worcestershire artists will be on offer over the weekend including painting, printmaking, glasswork, photography, ceramics, jewellery and textiles.

Visitors will have a chance to watch some of the artists at work as well as to purchase original artwork. Entry to all venues is free.
