Theatre
Rubery Drama Group, celebrating its Diamond Jubilee this year, presents Pools Paradise, a farce by Philip King, at the Beacon Church Centre on Whetty Lane on April 26, 27 and 28.
This is the group’s 116th production and was last performed by them in 1965 – four members of the original cast are still active in the group.
Set in the mid-60s, it concerns the vicar of a village church who disapproves of gambling, but his wife looks set to share in a large football pools win…
Performances start at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) and tickets are available on the door or in advance by calling 0121 445 2323.
The group meets every Weds, 7.30 for 7.45pm, at Beacon Church Centre.
