Two former Bromsgrove school pupils have won a BAFTA for their short film.

Alex Lockwood, who attended South Bromsgrove High School and now lives in Stourbridge, and Oliver Walton, who went to North Bromsgrove High School and now lives in Catshill, won Best British Short Film for their documentary, 73 Cows.

With Alex (left) as director and Oliver as cinematographer, the film tells the story of a Derbyshire farmer who became a vegan and decided to send his beef herd to an animal sanctuary instead of the slaughterhouse.

73 Cows was also nominated for Best Local Film at the 2018 Birmingham Film Festival.
