The new county councillor for Alvechurch has admitted that she doesn’t know how to send an email.

Coun June Griffiths told Alvechurch Parish Council: “I can read emails and print them out, but I can’t send emails.”

This was in spite of receiving IT training. “I have my certificate to say that I am computer literate, but why they gave me the certificate I do not know,” she explained.

Coun Griffiths, who was being briefed by the parish council on matters where the county might be able to help, also said the county council did not supply her with a laptop computer and if she wanted one she would have to buy it herself.
