Police are investigating a road rage incident which allegedly culminated in an object being thrown at a woman motorist’s car outside the Barnt Green Inn.

It happened at around 6pm on Wednesday 26 September, beginning in Lickey Road, Rednal, at the traffic light junction with Low Hill Lane.

The dispute, involving a silver Renault Scenic people carrier driven by a woman and a grey BMW 1 Series car, driven by a man, continued along Barnt Green Road into Kendal End Road, outside the Barnt Green Inn.

There, the woman alleges, an object was thrown at her car, chipping the windscreen.

PC Greg Palmer of West Mercia Police said: “The allegations are of dangerous driving, and criminal damage. Both drivers have been spoken to but we are looking for independent witnesses who may be able to confirm what happened.

“The driving described by the victim would have been very noticeable to anyone else travelling along this section of road, and I am particularly interested in hearing from anybody who may have seen the incident come to an end near the Barnt Green Inn.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Palmer on the local non-emergency number 101 quoting incident 479-s-260912 or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
