The Lounge opens its doors

Posted on January 13 2011 at 5:16:22

The Lounge has opened its doors to village teenagers in the evenings and from this Friday morning will also be serving coffee and cake to adults.

The café and youth venue, in the former Miss Elizabeth salon in the Alvechurch centre precinct, will be opened officially by MP Sajid Javid on Saturday February 12.
The Lounge will be open to the public each week, from 9-11am and 3.30-5pm from Monday- Friday, serving a range of coffee and tea as well as a selection of cakes and light snacks.
It will be open for young people (aged 12 - 17) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-9pm, and for 15-17-year-olds on Wednesdays from 7-9pm.
The Lounge is also available as a meeting venue for community groups and organisation. Dates can be pre-booked and there is a catering menu to select refreshments.
