The cast and crew of 7 Days, a film about Birmingham marathon runner ‘Blind Dave’ Heeley, celebrate the film’s premiere at The Birmingham Rep.

An audience of 300 guests watched the film, made by Cofton Hackett producer Nigel Davey and Hopwood directors Ian and Dominic Higgins and filmed at Hillscourt Hotel and the Lickey Hills.

7 Days follows Dave’s life from diagnosis at the age of 10 to him running seven marathons in seven days and raising millions for charity. It involved many local actors, including Sarah Manners and Vicky Hall from Barnt Green, Charlie Boswell from Blackwell (as young Dave), and presenters Tom Ross and Suzanne Virdee.

Jack Lane played Dave as an adult, and the Harry Potter twins Oliver and James Phelps also had roles.

The film will also be shown at West Bromwich Albion football club in May – more information can be found at
