Toilet-stop drivers have no alternative

Posted on February 28 2015 at 12:57:23

I was Parish Clerk of Cofton Hackett for many years and there have always been problems with bus drivers who have to relieve themselves after several hours on the road (The Village, February 2015).

As there are no public toilets any more in Cofton Park or in the vicinity, the drivers have to improvise, either by using a plastic bottle to leave behind the bus shelter or by going behind the bus shelter – they have no alternative.

It could be possible to supply a locked portable toilet by the bus shelter, funded by the transport authority, to which drivers could be supplied with a key.

It is important to find a proper solution to this ongoing problem.
